"smug looking and a total embarrassment"- Denis Knowles on Leah Fraser

Has Councillor Denis 'Homer Simpson' Knowles changed his view on Princess Leah since he defected to the Tories? I only ask because a series of emails in which Homer offers his verdict on his now Tory colleagues have reached me and let me tell you my dear congregation, they make interesting reading and will be devastatingly embarrassing for the Tories.

First up is this email sent from Homer on 18 March 2009 to a fellow Labour Councillor, just weeks before he defected from Labour to become Princess Leah's new best friend:

"I like this newsletter- especially the smug looking Fraser picture.

She (Princess Leah) was at the Central Park Forum this morning, attacking the officers, using divisive tactics, highlighting what Birkenhead has got compared to us. She is a total embarrassment. The officers demolished her arguments one by one. Let's publish and get it out as soon as possible. Denis"

So is this what you really think of the Princess, Homer? Embarrassing, divisive and smug? As Homer would say, "D'oh"!

  2. Crikey! The Tories will hate this. How embarrassing for Leah and for Denis. What other emails do you have Sister Mary?

  3. For once I agree with Denis Knowles. Thing is though the Tories hate him as much as he seems to hate Leah!

  4. The Tories are just using Denis Knowles. Seacombe is rock solid Labour - Knowles has got no chance of holding the seat and this Tony Cox who is standing for the Tories in May will be made a laughing stock.

  5. Who do you think will win Wallasey in May Sister Mary?

  6. Oh Dear Sister Mary. Well the truth is finally out. But seriously folks it only goes to show that Denis's conversion was all about money. You see Sister I had his whole plot sussed. But common decency and respect prohibits me from revealing all the co-ordinated moves he made before crossing to the Tories- and trust me it does not make good reading.

  7. It was almost certainly money from his cushy Merseytravel position that made Knowles defect!

  8. Hang on a minute- wasn't Tony Cox selected by a primary ballot- by hundreds of votes as I recall- but then the talk in the corridors of the Town Hall was of exaggerated numbers and fairy stories. Watch your back Denis and keep taking the tablets!!!

  9. Oh dear Sister Mary. Leah in her blog has rushed to Denis's defence. He should start to be worried. She has also been to see the private landlord sector. Aren't these the same people who are less than choosy about their tenants- many of whom cause huge social problems in areas like Seacombe? I wouldn't boast about meeting them Leah- just in case you cast your eye over this blog.
