Princess Leah: bankrolled by debt collector

What a day!

Princess Leah's election campaign has been funded by a debt collector it has been revealed. Yes, Wallasey Tories are relying on the fortune of a debt collector in a bid to buy election success.

As reported in the Daily Post, Liverpool Echo and Wirral News today, the Tories have used almost £50,000 from Wallasey based debt collector, Thomas Higgins, to fund a series of leaflets and expensive mailings. Meanwhile, a special edition of the Wallasey Voice is also making its way across the Wallasey constituency detailing Fraser's debt man donor shame.

The news will be a devastating blow to the Tories in Wallasey. It comes just weeks after Wirral West Tories were investigated for pocketing £thousands from millionaire Tory tax exile Lord Cashcroft!

Tories changed? I don't think so!

  2. Mind you the tories will claim credit in their rags for all sorts of things that are not quite as they seem.

Take Councillor Sue Taylor who claims the credit for an unneccessary crossing on rake lane. She is pictured by the crossing pole showing the press button panel claiming it is working.

However there are no lights fitted to the poles, no road markings and no sign of anything happening. You would think they would wait till the crossing is working before claiming the credit. But hey ho why let the truth get in the way of the truth.

  3. I don't really see what the problem is about the donor. Surely if this bloke wants to make a donation to the Tories then it's his choice? I agree with a lot of what you normally say but think this is rather weak.

  4. Oh dear Sister Mary. How embarrassing for Leah and for Sister Lewis- after all he is the friend of the debt collector!! Bet you didn't know that_ but I have my inside sources you know- close to the President and all that.
On to a more serious point and here I am paraphrasing- 'Who little know of Wallasey who only Wallasey know' Does Leah seriously beleive she is equipped to be an MP when she is apprehensive about leaving Liscard- never mind going south of Watford. And how will she cope without Sister Lewis in the big metropolis??

  5. Hi Sister Mary. Talk about being dammed by faint praise! Thomas Higgins is proud to support Leah- she being local and all that. How must Leah feel with such an accolade? Worried I hope.

  7. I'm suprised by the anonymous poster saying this story is weak. I think not and certainly not according to the Daily Mirror, Daily Post, Liverpool Echo and Wirral News.

  8. Sister Mary, let's face it, all those papers are rather left leaning, don't you think? The Torygraph certainly wouldn't have been interested in it! Keep up the amusing ditties as the late, great Dick Emery said, "You are awful, but I like you..."
