News from the Tory camp has reached me that Princess Leah is running scared of having a public debate with Labour's Angela Eagle during the election campaign. The pair went head to head in 2005 but this time the Princess is going out of her way to avoid it (well, she was humiliated last time). Instead, I understand, the Princess prefers to have a one on one question and answer session with members of Wirral Churches Together - with questions given to her ONE WEEK in advance! Unfortunately, the Q&A, scheduled to take place this evening had to be cancelled as Angela Eagle was needed in London for the 'wash up' of Parliament. But surely the Princess still could have taken part?
Anyway, I'm pleased that Wirral Churches Together are trying to re-arrange the event to take place before 6 May. Maybe this time, Princess Leah will share a platform with candidates from other parties and debate the issues alternatively another debate maybe arranged but will the Princess turn up....
Meanwhile, I hear Angela Eagle is STILL waiting for a reply from Princess Leah and David Cameron following her letter to them on Homer Homophobe!
But Sister Mary.Thats because she can't work out a way to have Sister Lewis talk for her on a public platform. Rumour has it she blew the whole event last year!!! By the way have you got any stuff on Sister Lewis- or are you keeping your chalk dry????
ReplyDeleteHer latest mailshot is a hoot; She says under the heading of her priorities that she is not a career politician and believes that parliament needs people from a wide variety of ackgrounds. She doesn't mention what her experience is; presumably because she hasn't got any apart from being a lady wot lunches.

The killer for me was the argument that we need to tackle the size of the deficit if we are to keep mortgage rates low; but we must also start to reduce some of the high taxes we are all paying.
Is this woman on a different planet?? If you cut taxes in one place then to reduce the deficit you either increase them elsewhere or massively slash services; which is it Leah?
Her final comment is that she wants to clean up british politics; well Angela Eagle has been shown to be whiter than white in this respect with a proven track record. I know who I would rather trust than an unknown with no prior history to judge her on. Come on Princess what have you ever done?

A generous interpretation is that she is so thick that she isn't aware of Angela's record. Alternatively she is disgustingly trying to smear Angela by innuendo.
Not pleasant is it if that's the best that she can do.
