2 Days to Save Sure Start!

Sure Start mums from across Wallasey and Moreton are backing Labour's campaign to save the children's centres in the area ahead of Thursday's election after the Tories have said they will cut its budget if they win. Tory plans would put Sure Starts in Leasowe, Moreton, Seacombe, Liscard and New Brighton at risk. The Tories are furious with Labour and local mums for campaigning on the issue. Princess Leah is desperately telling people its not true but people don't believe her and are not going to be conned by Cameron!

Princess Leah set to lose her council seat!

As the political parties enter the final stretch of the election campaign, news is reaching me that Labour are confident of snatching back Liscard ward on Wirral Council - meaning Princess Leah is likely to be rejected twice on the same day in both council and parliamentary elections.

What will Princess Leah do with all the free time after the results are declared?!

Has Homer broken the law?

My dear congregation, forgive me for not posting for a while but I've been busy praying for the misguided soul of Homer Homophobe. The long hours of prayer however seem to have failed after hearing that Homer could be in more trouble with Merseyside Police. Not with the Hate Crimes Unit (I hear that one is still being investigated) but for distributing letters to households in Seacombe about how he is a 'victim' of a 'Labour smear' following his vicious and bigoted comments on Facebook about gay people.

Homer's letter should have contained an address for him and where it was printed but it didn't - meaning that he could be in breach of Section 143 of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000. Dear me Homer! Whatever will be next...

Labour winning the 'poster war'

Looks like Labour in Wallasey are wining the 'poster war'. I've not seen a single Tory poster up on my travels around the constituency. Meanwhile, Labour have a strong display all across the area. Maybe local people just don't want to be associated with a losing campaign or debt collectors or bigots...

Homer Homophobe continues to shame Tories

Leading Liverpool Echo columnist, Joe Riley, yesterday continued the attack on Homer Homophobe. Riley said that the Tory "joker" is heading for "political no man's land" and accused him of believing the "rest of us to be born yesterday" following his lame excuse for his anti-gay comments.

Princess Leah continues to be silent on the matter.

Is Princess Leah too chicken to debate with Angela Eagle?

News from the Tory camp has reached me that Princess Leah is running scared of having a public debate with Labour's Angela Eagle during the election campaign. The pair went head to head in 2005 but this time the Princess is going out of her way to avoid it (well, she was humiliated last time). Instead, I understand, the Princess prefers to have a one on one question and answer session with members of Wirral Churches Together - with questions given to her ONE WEEK in advance! Unfortunately, the Q&A, scheduled to take place this evening had to be cancelled as Angela Eagle was needed in London for the 'wash up' of Parliament. But surely the Princess still could have taken part?

Anyway, I'm pleased that Wirral Churches Together are trying to re-arrange the event to take place before 6 May. Maybe this time, Princess Leah will share a platform with candidates from other parties and debate the issues alternatively another debate maybe arranged but will the Princess turn up....

Meanwhile, I hear Angela Eagle is STILL waiting for a reply from Princess Leah and David Cameron following her letter to them on Homer Homophobe!

I'll join the Lib Dems says Homer!

Tory Fat Controller, Chris Blakeley, got the shock of his life this morning when Homer Homophobe told him that he planned to "join the Lib Dems".

I hear that the Fat Controller, called his mate Homer (who was at Arrowe Park Hospital) to offer his support following his suspension from the Tory Party after his bigoted rant about gay people on Facebook. Homer was grateful to get the call (the only one he's had from any of his former Tory councillor colleagues) but told The Fat Controller that if expelled he would "join the Lib Dems".

It seems Homer is preparing for his inevitable expulsion from the "changed" Tory Party but according to my Lib Dem sources, he's got no chance of joining their group because they too were outraged by his anti-gay remarks! One Lib Dem even suggested "he'd be better of in the BNP"!

Meanwhile, the wait goes on for Princess Leah's response...

Will Princess Leah stand by Homer?

Princess Leah has gone to ground since her council colleague Denis 'Homer Simpson' Knowles was suspended by the Tories following his shockingly homophobic Facebook outburst. She's not given any comment to the press and sources tell me she that she is refusing to speak to Homer and has even banned him from leafleting or canvassing on her behalf.

People are rightly asking questions about Princess Leah's position on this issue and want to know if she agrees with the comment made by him or if she is prepared to condemn him? Even the few remaining friends Denis has left are commenting (on his public Facebook wall) about the Princess' silence.

"Leah needs to get her act together and stand by you like everyone else has", said Homer fan, Thomas Mannion last night! Others are also asking about Leah's position after all it was only a few months ago that Homer was her new best friend, when she welcomed him with open arms to the Tory Party!

Leah's campaign goes from bad to worse!

Homer suspended by Tories for homophobic rant!

Denis Knowles was sensationally suspended from the Tory Party today following a homophobic outburst on Facebook. The Councillor, known for his resemblance of Homer Simpson, launched a bigoted attack on members of Labour's LGBT group describing them as "strange and limp wristed". Within hours local Tory leader Jeff Green suspended him from the Tory group on Wirral MBC and pressure is now mounting on Tory leader David Cameron to expel him from his Party altogether. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/merseyside/8595606.stm

Knowles' disgraceful remarks have caused great embarrassment for the Tory leader who, only last week, was criticised for an awkward performance during a Channel 4 News/ Gay Times interview on equality.

It is thought that Knowles went into hiding today - switching off his mobile phone and refusing to speak to journalists. Knowles colleague, Princess Leah, was also unavailable for comment and left an angry Sister Lewis to issue a statement to the waiting media.

The whole issue now threatens to dog the Tory election campaign unless Cameron takes further action.

I'll keep you posted readers!

Princess Leah: bankrolled by debt collector

What a day!

Princess Leah's election campaign has been funded by a debt collector it has been revealed. Yes, Wallasey Tories are relying on the fortune of a debt collector in a bid to buy election success.

As reported in the Daily Post, Liverpool Echo and Wirral News today, the Tories have used almost £50,000 from Wallasey based debt collector, Thomas Higgins, to fund a series of leaflets and expensive mailings. Meanwhile, a special edition of the Wallasey Voice is also making its way across the Wallasey constituency detailing Fraser's debt man donor shame.

The news will be a devastating blow to the Tories in Wallasey. It comes just weeks after Wirral West Tories were investigated for pocketing £thousands from millionaire Tory tax exile Lord Cashcroft!

Tories changed? I don't think so!

Why so touchy about donations?

Dear readers, I would be in confession for a very long time if I posted some of the comments I've received from the Tories following my post about Cashcroft. It seems Wallasey Tories are nervous about people asking about their financial dealings and donations. I can't help wondering why? What have they got to hide?

Sister Lewis's 'William Hague moment'

We all remember former Tory leader William Hague sporting a baseball cap in a desperate bid to project a more youthful image. The stunt saw him pilloried in the press with one Daily Mail commentator suggesting he "looked like a child-molester on a day release scheme". Well, I thought the Tories had learned until this picture was sent to me from a member of my congregation. Here we have Sister Lewis of Leasowe taking fashion tips from his old boss - sporting his very own cap and shades! What does he look like?!!

Wallasey Tories & Cashcroft

Unlike her neighbours in Wirral West, Princess Leah has not, so far, accepted any big money donations from Lord Cashcroft to pay for her election campaign. So I say good on her for having the sense to not get involved in any shady deals with the Tory tax exile. Running an election campaign can be expensive business. I've seen glossy leaflets, flyer's, magazines and expensive mailings from the Princess - it seems she is throwing everything and the kitchen sink at Wallasey! But as she's not taking Cashcroft money how is it all being funded? I do hope it is from an honest source...

Labour favourites to win Wallasey

Labour remain odds on favourites to win Wallasey. William Hill put Labour as 1/5 red hot favourites while the Tories are on 4/1. I hear a few Tories have put £££ on a Princess Leah win but I've got a feeling they'll be begging for their money back after next week...

Monday, 8 March 2010

Princess Leah - you just keep on getting it wrong!

Dear me Princess Leah! You really should do your research or at least get your bag carrier, Sister Lewis of Leasowe to do it properly because you are getting so much wrong in this campaign. This week alone you have sent out a direct mail which had hundreds of voters in fits of laughter after you claimed that the NHS is safe with the Tories. Hilarious! Nobody believes you, you see most people in Wallasey remember what your party did to the NHS in the 1980s and 1990s - instinctively you Tories don't believe in the NHS. I think your mate, Tory MEP, Dan Hannan, exposed the hidden dark side of your party when he described it as a "60 year mistake". Meanwhile, you Tories locally opposed the massive rebuild and refurbishment of Victoria Central Hospital -instead you insisted on keeping the old, run down wards. Even now, it is your party that would end a patients right to see a specialist within two weeks if their GP suspects cancer. So stop pretending that your care about the NHS. You don't!

I also notice that on your blog you have called for local MP Angela Eagle to "take a pay freeze". Keep up, dear, she did that last year and last week announced that she was doing it again this year! You really do need to get your facts right before we hear more of your boring rants! Finally, just what is going on with your campaign? Has Sister Lewis been sent back to Brussels? Labour have been running rings around you over these past few weeks and I hear there is plenty more to come!

I'll pray for you.

Tory lookalike 4

Here's another Tory lookalike. Not only does Tory Chris Blakeley look like the Fat Controller from Thomas the Tank but 'Fat Controller' is name his Tory 'mates' have for him behind his back! By all accounts, Blakeley is not very popular with some of his fellow Tory Councillors!
There's one thing he won't be able to control though, and that will be the verdict of the people of Wallasey on the Tories at the General Election...

Tories can't be trusted with Winter Fuel Payments - FACT

Sister Lewis of Leasowe knows as well as I do that his party can't be trusted with the pensioner's Winter Fuel Payment. Leading Tory MPs want it scrapped and the Tories famously described it as a "gimmick". I've no doubt that if the Tories win the next election the annual payment to pensioners will be a thing of the past. But Sister Lewis is having none of it! His increasingly desperate campaign in Wallasey has seen the Tories on the back foot and frantically tying to rebut Labour's effective campaign on the issue.

One Labour source told me, "Sister Lewis can rebut all he likes but pensioners around here remember all too well what the Tories did last time they were in power and they know, given the chance, the Tories will do it all again".

It seems it going to take more than warm words from the Princess to get the pensioners on side!

"smug looking and a total embarrassment"- Denis Knowles on Leah Fraser

Has Councillor Denis 'Homer Simpson' Knowles changed his view on Princess Leah since he defected to the Tories? I only ask because a series of emails in which Homer offers his verdict on his now Tory colleagues have reached me and let me tell you my dear congregation, they make interesting reading and will be devastatingly embarrassing for the Tories.

First up is this email sent from Homer on 18 March 2009 to a fellow Labour Councillor, just weeks before he defected from Labour to become Princess Leah's new best friend:

"I like this newsletter- especially the smug looking Fraser picture.

She (Princess Leah) was at the Central Park Forum this morning, attacking the officers, using divisive tactics, highlighting what Birkenhead has got compared to us. She is a total embarrassment. The officers demolished her arguments one by one. Let's publish and get it out as soon as possible. Denis"

So is this what you really think of the Princess, Homer? Embarrassing, divisive and smug? As Homer would say, "D'oh"!

Tory lookalike 3

Time for another Tory lookalike and another dear member of my congregation has pointed out the similarities between Sister Lewis of Leasowe and a man that gave many a child nightmares, from the 1968 classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - it's the Child Catcher!

With spindly legs, a milky complexion and the elongated hooter its hard to tell them both apart. Both men certainly send a chill down my spine and I wouldn't open my door to either of them if they came knocking!

Princess Leah gets her facts wrong again!

Princess Leah continues to show just how out of her depth she is with her MP bid as the campaign from both the Tories and Labour gathers pace in Wallasey. This week, Leah went all out with a big bold glossy magazine 'change' in which she tries to show how a 'lady wot lunches' could be the town's new MP! She spoke about being a local mum-of-two and, er...well not much else really! Labour hit back by delivering a new newspaper entitled the 'Wallasey Voice' to households across the constituency featuring an interview with former Coronation Street star, Liz Dawn, who pointed out the Tory threat to the pensioner's Winter Fuel Allowance if Princess Leah's lot win the next election.

However, It's Labour's letter to voters here talking about the transformation of the NHS and how the Tories would wreck it again that has upset the princess and rattled her campaign team. So much so, she hit back on her boring blog accusing Labour of lies. Ouch!

Now the only person who I think is telling fibs here is Princess Leah herself and I'd like to have her in confession alongside Tory whipping boy, Homer Simpson, at St. Joseph's very soon!

I've done the research Leah and it is true - The Tories would scrap a patients right to see a specialist within one week if their GP suspects cancer, the number of doctors and nurses working in the NHS could also be cut, and local health centres could close down under existing Tory plans. If you are taking your MP bid seriously Leah then you should really get your facts straight before you start accusing others of lying! Maybe Sister Lewis should also get to grips with Tory Party policy too before he inaccurately briefs you again.

It seems the Tories have felt the effects of a Labour onslaught in Wallasey this past week. The campaign really is starting to get exiting!
